Hey yogis, I wanted to create a video tutorial that shows you how to properly do one of the most popular poses in yoga – Warrior 2! In Sanskrit it’s Virabhadrasana Two. Warrior II is in almost all Hatha and Vinyasa yoga classes, taught to beginner and advanced yogis alike. This pose has so many benefits and is physically accessible to most people, yet it is FAR from being easy!! Beginner friendly and easy are not the same thing. There is actually so much going on in Warrior 2 and it can be very easy to have bad alignment. I probably could’ve added so much more to this video but I wanted to keep it short and sweet so that you’d watch it all the way through 😉 I’ll give you my most important alignment techniques focusing on the 3 key joints involved: ankles, knees and hips! Hopefully it will help you out and make you more conscious of your posture next time you’re in virabhadrasana II.
