I loooooove puppy pose! This is a great backbending pose to open up your shoulders and chest. You’ll find it in both hatha and yin based practices. I’ve heard a lot of students complain about this pose and while it’s intense, it should never be painful. It is possible that this pose might not be suitable for your body. I’ll show you how to do this pose, how to make it more or less sensational and some variations you can play with. The yin variation of melting heart will be slightly different than the hatha version of puppy/anahatasana.
