Overview

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me in this new 25 minute full body intermediate vinyasa flow yoga class. This sequence doesn’t include any weight bearing poses for your hands and wrists so there are no planks, no table top poses and no downward dogs. We’ll begin standing up with some half sun salutations before moving into some warrior poses and finally some seated and reclined stretches.

This is great for balance, strength, flexibility and mindfulness. No props are required and it’s best suited for intermediate level students. Beginners can certainly give it a try and simply leave out or modify poses. Enjoy!

Thank you, Kassandra! I’m so curious what the name of that unusual lying spinal twist was. It worked the IT bands and parts of the back/hips that felt great. Thanks!

    • Kassandra

It doesn’t really have a specific name, but I would call it a reclined twist with IT band variation perhaps

Quick question: I am not flexible enough to have my hips down and my heels down at the same time in the yoga squat. Should I choose one over the other?

    • Kassandra

Keep the hips down. Much more important to keep the length in the spine. Many advanced practitioners just can’t get their heels down in yogi squat, anatomically.
